Sunday morning breakfast at the Highland Haven

The waffles were flowing for the guests along with our usual beautiful breakfast buffet this morning. I made apple crisps and was the waffle maker as usual; today we added sweet little wild raspberries from our own Fern Gulch and strawberries. A cute young boy got a pile of whipped cream on his.
Guests, always so much fun to meet and hear their stories, were varied; a couple staying for the week from Tennessee, so happy with our Colorado weather. They are our biggest, the Fireside Loft.
A young couple, married yesterday, glowed as they sat in the Champagne Room, tucked in a sweet corner table, heads together and full of smiles. A larger group sat outside, laughing the entire breakfast.
Our guests in the new Tree House were going to get breakfast in bed, out late at Red Rocks for the Beatles shows. They stayed 3 nights and already booked the Tree House for next year. Just as we hoped guests would! Romance, supreme hospitality, beauty close to Denver...a winning combo.

Highland Haven Creekside Inn has enjoyed some remarkable corporate groups this summer. Setting us up as an ideal setting for business retreats, my corporate head, Blake Alexander, has been hopping. We had 5 full days of Conversant-a group of guests from all over the globe, who stayed with us for 5 full days. They do it right. All catered meals of the highest standards, wine tastings,  formal tent with little sparkly lights for the grand finale dinner in the lawn at the Fireside Loft, where they met daily.
Next came this week Natures Way-corporate heads flew in to join the group for a day, flew out after speaking. Again, high end this bunch. They went to our local spa, dined downtown, sat by our creek (while on wireless phones, laptops..) and got to work. The corporate presence of Highland Haven is so ideal. Just one hour from DIA, 30 minutes from Denver and in the most beautiful creekside setting.
Cottages for most, the Gardeners Cottage for the big boss, and real mountain luxury.
